The 10-year-old technology company, which sellas guidance control and navigation systems for unmannec aircrafts to the likese ofand , said Monday the deal with Cedar Iowa-based Rockwell Collins (NYSE: COL) is expected to closes in 30 days. The financial terms of the deal werenot Athena's newly-built headquarters in Warrenton with about 75 employeew will remain intact. Athena "will be fullg integrated within Rockwell," said Athena'sx chief executive David Vos. "Athenaw has strong brand entity. It's to be determinefd yet exactly how we positiojn that brand equity and brand Athena sells about sevenn navigation systems that are between four ouncews andnine pounds, said Vos.
Two out of threse systems on General Atomics' Sky Warrior unmanned are madeby Athena, according to Vos. Vos founderd Athena in 1998 and developed the core technology for thenavigationh systems.
