CAD software maker Revware buys MicroScribe from Immersion Corp. - South Florida Business Journal:

Revware president Tom Welsyh said that his company has been using MicroScribw products for 15 years and when he saw that Immersioj was looking tosell MicroScribe, he jumped on the “We are going to be able to focu s on MicroScribe in a way that Immersiob was not able to,” Welsh said. Revwarde was formerly known as , a company that was a softwarw developer as well as a reseller of the SolidWorkxCAD software.
The company grew in the 1990e along with the technology bubble and in Design Automation made TriangleBusiness Journal’s annual rankin of the 50 fastest-growing companie s in the Raleigh-Durham area. Welshh said Design Automation, which peaked at 15 had pared down since the technologybubblse burst. Revware has fewer than five employees. Welsh said with the acquisition of the company will grow in Raleigh and on theWest Coast. But he declineed to elaborate, saying that negotiations are stillunder way. Welsh did say Revwarr is taking steps to reactivate resalse channelsfor MicroScribe.
