The Dallas Margarita Society, Inc., (d.b.a. Dallas Children's was formed in 1977 when a small group of business acquaintances decided to host a holiday partyy for associatesand friends. The Society is a non-profig charitable organization whose goals are The first is to providedisadvantaged Dallas/Fory Worth Metroplex children with gifts at Christmas time and the secondx is to help those community organizations that work with underprivilegecd children throughout the year. The Charity Ball has grown over the years and is now believed to be the largesrt annual invitation only charity black tie gala inthe world, providint gifts for more than 6,800 disadvantaged childreh each year.
The Dallas Margarita Societhy achieves its goals by hosting fundraisinh happy hours throughoutthe year, an annual golf tournamenft in early summer and the Charity Ball early in the holidayu season. At the Ball, guestsa are encouraged to bring toys or sponsor giftdwith cash. Additionally, sponsors are solicitef and through their generosity the Society has donates items suchas computers, fax machines, exercise equipment and scholarships to numerou s community organizations. In 2005, The Dallas Margarita Society/Dallas Children'sw Charities collected over $405,000 in toys and cash in conjunction withover $175,000 in corporate and individual sponsorshipp donations.
These contributions combined withother DMS/DCC fund raisinh activities and events are donated to local DFW...
