Effective immediately, online visitors to compassbank.com will be redirected to “bbvacompass.com.” The company is workingv to bring all of its marketing and communications tools unde r the new BBVA Compass The change in the Web site represents the final phaswe inthe company’s rebranding campaign. Customers were notified of the new Web addresx for accessing their online accounts through specialo ads and messages on the old Web CompassPC and othercommunications channels. In addition, employeed e-mail addresses will be updatede toinclude “bbvacompass.com.
” Charles Bretz, executives vice president and director of Internet banking, warnd consumers to watch out for any potential “phishing” scams associatee with the Web site name change. Phishing involvees companies or individuals sendingout e-mailsa under the guise of a company or financia institution requesting that customers log onto a site and type in personakl information. “The transition to the new e-mail and Web addressee will be seamless forour customers,” Bretz “We can assure them that both the new and old Web addressed take them to the BBVA Compassx Web site.” Birmingham, Ala.
